The part nobody enjoys: moving twenty years of files, the email that must not break, and the printer that only ever worked on the old machine.
A new PC arrives full of trial software, with settings chosen by the manufacturer rather than by you, and no connection to any of the things you already own. We strip the clutter, configure it sensibly, and connect it to the printers, the network, and the accounts you actually use.
The transfer is where these jobs go wrong when they go wrong. Documents are easy; email history, licensed software, and the one program the business depends on are the parts that need care. We move it methodically and check it against the old machine before anything gets wiped.
Sometimes the right machine is not on a shelf. We build custom Windows desktops for the work they will actually do — heavier memory, particular storage, a specific application's requirements — and set them up the same way. If you are replacing a machine because the old one is slow rather than dead, it is worth reading computer repair first; the cheaper fix is sometimes the right one.
A straightforward setup and transfer is usually a single visit; the amount of data and the state of the old machine decide the rest.
Free estimate before any work begins, and you approve the price before we start. Repairs carry a 90-day warranty on our labor, plus whatever warranty the manufacturer provides on any parts we install. If you are already a customer and your question takes us under fifteen minutes on the phone, there is no charge for it.
A trip charge may apply for longer distances. The warranty does not cover a machine that is re-infected with malware after we clean it.
What people ask before replacing a machine.
We will set it up properly and move everything across.
